Welcome citizens of Reedsburg to your live Spark Session! Over the past few weeks team members from FEH Design, Library Staff, Library Board members, and the community have been working behind the scenes to facilitate this interactive experience.

The Goals for Success were created to guide design decisions and help evaluate design outcomes for the library project.

GOALS FOR SUCCESS

• A Library that provides:

  • A sense of community, a gathering place, a hub that fosters learning, collaboration, & interaction
  • A welcoming, neutral, & safe place
  • Free, inclusive access for people of all ages & abilities
  • Support and promotion of services to a growing population
  • Connection to other community services, i.e., Friends, Government, institutions, businesses, organizations
  • A responsible use of resources
  • Expanded use, i.e., schedule/hours, space, collections, programs (indoor & outdoor), resources, technology
  • Adequate space for delivery of services (staff & public)
  • Promotion of economic development
  • Consideration for future change & growth
  • Efficient function resulting in reduced operating costs

  A process that:

  • Seeks to align with available capital funding sources
  • Engages the public resulting in significant stakeholder support
